Two Introverts Hang Out

It is rare for me to go out to the malls(or any place, really), especially those outside of my city. I never really had that much reason to shop and if I do go out, it usually happens on special occasions like graduations and Christmas breaks which rarely planned by me but by my handful of good folks that I surround myself with.

This is why today, on a random Monday with classes, was an out-of-character move for me to go and hang out with someone. I am, after all, a self-proclaimed frugal person who avoids unnecessary purchase as much as I can. Perhaps, my mind wants to reward myself; or it is merely a way of stress relieving caused by the clashing personal and academical pursuits? I know not—or at the least not sure.

Despite the misfortunes that happened to us, it is undeniable that the trip was, although short, fun. I do not mind having our bus be broken forcng us to find another one in the middle of a rain that was not there before we met up, gosh, seldom do I go to trips and this is the atmosphere nature provides? Outrageous. We hopefully did not meet any more setbacks after that, all was fun.

Me and my good friend who I shall call Penguin are fond of books, we're folks of varying taste but share a liking on classics. We had to go to Fairview as our city lacks sufficient taste to have any good bookstores or libraries hence we had to go to the bigger city. It was well worth it, though I would say that books are kind of overpriced(at least for me) compared to the last time I visited the stores. Good for Penguin that I was there to introduce her to the world of used books; people may criticize me for my lack of fashion sense but I sure am an expert in finding treasure in those stores. It's crazy that Fully Booked and National Book Store branch are merely a walk away from Booksale, the preloved bookstore. I really love stores selling secondhand goods, especially when it comes to physical media; furthermore, I have an opinion that those kinds of book stores have more variety. The shopping lasted a short 2 hours but I really learned a lot about my friend, it's truly nice to have someone with interests that aligns with you a lot. Perhaps, I was just plagued by one-dimensional and stale interactions, my more (relatively) mature self yearns for things like this.

Little things are just nice to have, doesn't it?
