First Impression

Similar to how long it took me to finally play Persona, this glog, which supposed to be made almost a week ago, has met delays and delays that it is already Friday compared to the planned Monday that this glog was supposed to be written. Nevertheless, I ought to write my first taste of this game and boy it was a blast. As a fan of RPGs like Honkai: Star Rail, Fire Emblem, and Pokemon and loving visual novels such as Uma Musume and Danganronpa, I cannot believe that it never occured to me to play this game franchise for a good amount of years.

First, I should address why P3F is the one I chose to start this series with. It's a mix of hardware limitations and vibes, really. I have yet to buy a laptop and emulating P3P on a phone is not that great of an option when it is as powerful as an old fridge in terms of performance. Oh, how fortunate that my interest on starting the series intertwined with my so-called "Gaming Renaissance" which just means I got my old and dusting PS3 back in the living room where it rightfully belongs. With that, I had the choice whether to start with Persona 3, 4, or 5(I did not even know you can play P5 on a 20 year old hardware) and it ended with me deciding that I want to know Mitsuru before Naoto. Jokes aside, I chose it since the aesthetics and themes just resonated with me a bit better as a newbie getting into Persona.

So far, I've been having fun with the two aspects of the game. The story seems promising while the social links were not boring at all. I was expecting that social links with minor characters would be nothing but filler but I found myself laughing at times. My first social link was with Kenji, and yes Kenji, I like older women too.

Ahem, I'd also like to say that Tartarus was pretty fun, the soundtrack was great. The combat system was alright, not the best but its understandable for me. What I like in particular was the mood system; it really punishes my greedy behaviour and keeps me from doing too much. I really like it when a game wants me to take my time.

Overall the game was very fun. I can see myself playing this for A LOT more hours in these later dates. Good games are a pleasant way to cure my stress from school research papers, hehe.
